Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Calyx website at calyxaimemory.com (the “Site”), the Calyx learning features and demos, and any paid membership. By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. The service

Calyx is an education platform that teaches the Calyx association-native database, offers tutoring and interactive demos, and links to a community hosted on Skool. Features are added over time; some described capabilities are under active development and released only after verification.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or older where your jurisdiction requires) to use the Site. By using it you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts

Some features may require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not break the law, infringe others’ rights, or violate these Terms.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems.
• Do not abuse AI features to generate prohibited content, exfiltrate data, or bypass safety controls.
• Do not scrape, resell, or misrepresent the service.

5. Community

The Calyx community is hosted on Skool and is also subject to Skool’s terms and our community guidelines. We may moderate or remove content and members that violate the rules.

6. Paid membership and billing

• Paid tiers (including a capped founding tier) are billed as a recurring subscription through Stripe.
• The exact price, billing interval, and any founding-cohort limits are shown at checkout before you pay.
• You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise at checkout.
• 14-day money-back guarantee: if you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, we refund that payment in full, no questions asked. Membership is month-to-month after that — cancel anytime, no contract. Any additional terms shown in the checkout flow at the time of purchase also apply.
• You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the amounts shown.

7. Intellectual property

The Site’s content, brand, and the Calyx software are protected by intellectual-property laws and provided under their applicable licenses. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the Site for its intended purpose. You retain rights to content you submit, and grant us a license to use it as needed to operate the service.

8. AI features — important notice

Calyx’s tutor and demos use AI. Although Calyx is designed to ground answers in real evidence and to refuse when it cannot, AI output can still be incomplete or wrong. It is for educational purposes and is not professional, legal, financial, or other expert advice. Verify anything important before relying on it.

9. Development status & no warranty

The Site and features are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Calyx and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Calyx and its operators from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the service. You may stop using the Site at any time; provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s governing jurisdiction, which will be specified here before launch. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless applicable law provides otherwise.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, a notice on the Site. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
